The Family and Consumer Science Department of the Ramapo Indian Hills Regional High School District is now accepting applications for the Child Development Preschool for the 2017/18 school year.
The preschool is part of the Child Development Course that enables high school students to work with and observe young children while learning about child development and parenting.
The preschoolers are provided with opportunities for education experiences associated with children their own age, both in play and regularly scheduled activities prepared and conducted by the high school students.
The class meets 3-days per week and the anticipated schedule will be Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday from the beginning of October through the beginning of June. There are openings for children who are at least 3-years old by October 1st, and toilet trained, and 4-year-olds who reside in the FLOW Area District. Children are selected for the program on a first come first serve basis.
Applications can be obtained via the Ramapo Indian Hills website, www.rih.org, or by emailing Ms. Debra Martin, FCS District Head Teacher at firstname.lastname@example.org. Additional information about the Child Development program and application can be found under each school’s respective web page, About Ramapo / About Indian Hills. Applications will be accepted through April 15.
