Ways to Help Ms. Antonison
There are two ways you can show your support for Ms. Antonison, one of our FAMS science teachers, who is undergoing cancer treatments. These two fundraisers aim to raise money to help offset the medical expenses associated with Ms. Antonison's treatment.
GoFundMe Page: Please join the FAMS community and contribute to this fundraiser for FAMS science teacher, Ms. Antonison, to help offset medical expenses as she goes through cancer treatments. Click here to donate.
Hoot for Our Hero Night, April 19 from 6:30-9:00 PM: This entertaining fundraiser will include FAMS teachers tackling silly, organized games. There will also be a small tricky tray raffle. Tickets will be $10/person at the door.
We need donations for tricky tray items. If you can donate something, contact Laura Metzler.
Seeking 2018-19 PTA Board Members!
WE NEED YOU!! Several members of the current FAMS PTA Board will be aging out of FAS at the end of this school year. We need parents to step up and fill their positions on the FAMS PTA board.
Some things to consider:
1. FAMS PTA Board positions are less of a commitment than the elementary PTAs.
2. Serving on the FAMS PTA Board is a great way to have direct input on your children's activities.
3. You get to know and interact with Mr. Keiser (Principal), Mrs. Prunk (Asst. Principal) and many FAMS teachers in a unique way.
The new board will be voted on at the June 1st PTA meeting.
Volunteer for the Living Lessons Program at FAMS
Thursday, May 17 (During School): FAMS will, once again, be hosting the Living Lessons program on Thursday, May 17 during school. We are thankful to bring this program to our students through the generous financial support from the Franklin Lakes Education Foundation, the FAMS PTA, the Municipal Alliance and the Franklin Lakes Education Foundation. Living Lessons is an innovative and inspirational day for every child at FAMS that will culminate a year-long program that has focussed on achieving individual goals and success while touching on such poignant topics as self-control, respect, resilience, courage, anti-bullying and tolerance.
We need parent/guardian volunteers to make this progra possible on May 17. Click here to volunteer your time on May 17. We need volunteers to assist us for the morning and afternoon sessions. Click on th link for additional details regarding times and training.
